Each Scout is matched with a presenter based on genre alignment, working closely together to build shows that shine a spotlight on raw, unfiltered talent. J.E. Morrison is the co-owner of Darlene Records, frontman for the fiery indie-punk outfit The Classifieds, and the sharp-witted host of Saucy’s Sorta Podcast — a show that’s been championing the underdog since 2022.

With over a decade embedded in the punk and alt-rock scene, Morrison brings an ear finely tuned to raw talent, gritty storytelling, and genre-bending creativity. Whether he’s on stage or behind the mic, he’s all about shining a spotlight on indie rock, pop punk, and off-the-grid folk artists with something real to say.

Now joining Sonic Scout Radio as an A&R scout, Morrison is ready to dig deep and discover the next wave of bold, weird, and wildly original voices. If your sound turns heads and breaks molds, he wants to hear it.

My heart beats to the sounds of grunge, metalcore, alt-metal, and classic rock — give me all the chuggy breakdowns, the gritty riffs, and the raw emotion. From Alice in Chains to Deftones, Whitechapel and beyond, I live for music that feels something.
