Don Wayne Myers is a music producer, film score composer, and media entrepreneur whose signature "downtime" sound has become synonymous with chill, beautiful, melodic, and hypnotic production. As the owner of Downtime Music Media, Don Wayne has built a brand rooted in spellbinding beats that transport listeners on an emotional journey.

Born and raised in St. Petersburg, Florida, Don Wayne discovered his passion for music at just six years old, learning to play keys and writing songs on his mother's piano. By fifteen, he recorded his original compositions in his first professional corporate studio. That experience sparked a lifelong love for music production and the art of shaping sound behind the scenes.

In his early twenties, he relocated to Atlanta, where he sharpened his skills while working alongside multi-platinum producer Teddy Riley, multi-platinum engineer Scott Eraas, and multi-platinum recording artist Montell Jordan just to name a few. Immersed in a high-level creative environment, Don Wayne gained invaluable insight into hit-making, studio excellence, and the business of music.

For the past eight years, he has owned and operated a full-service recording studio in his hometown of St. Petersburg, where he collaborates with recording artists and filmmakers, crafting lush soundscapes that elevate both music and visual storytelling. His downtime vibe—cinematic, moody, and emotionally rich—continues to define his production style.

Beyond the studio, Don Wayne's on-camera presence has also set him apart. He previously served as a TV show host for two major home shopping networks, showcasing his charisma and versatility in live broadcasting.

Now, Don Wayne Myers brings his curatorial ear and passion for emerging talent to the airwaves as the host of a new show on Sonic Scout Radio. The program spotlights unsigned artists whose music aligns with his signature downtime aesthetic—chill, melodic, hypnotic, and spellbinding.
